Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo, anggota satuan Brimob Polda Lampung telah gugur saat bertugas sebagai Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz di Papua.
Kapolda Lampung Irjen Pol Akhmad Wiyagus memimpin upacara pemakaman almarhum Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo di Tempat Pemakaman Umum di Merbau Mataram, Kecamatan Tanjung Bintang , Kabupaten Lampung Selatan.
Dalam kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh para PJU, Kapolres Lampung Selatan dan pers jajaran Polda Lampung serta diikuti oleh keluarga besar almarhum Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo dan masyarakat setempat yang menyaksikan prosesi pemakaman secara kedinasan oleh Polda Lampung. Di Lampung Selatan (02/12/22).
Kapolda Irjen Pol Akhmad Wiyagus menyampaikan Almarhum Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo lahir di Lampung Selatan pada tanggal 2 Oktober 1999. merupakan alumni di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang, Lampung Selatan. Ia merupakan seorang Bintara Polri angkatan 43, Setelah selesai pendidikan pada tahun 2019, Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo penempatan tugas pertama di satuan Brimob Polda Lampung Kompi 1 Batalyon C pelopor yang bermarkas di Lampung Utara.
Pada tahun 2022, tepatnya pada 14 Januari 2022, almarhum Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo tergabung dalam Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz 2022 yang bertempat di Kabupaten Yahukimo, Provinsi Papua.
Kapolda Irjen Pol Akhmad Wiyagus juga menyampaikan Negara memberikan penghargaan Kenaikan Pangkat luar Biasa, satu tingkat lebih tinggi dari pangkat sebelumnya karena jasa pengorbanannya melebihi penggilan tugas, demi bangsa dan Negara Republik Indonesia. Sebagaimana dalam Petikan Keputusan Kepala Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia Nomor : Kep/1657/XI/2022, tanggal 30 Oktober 2022 tentang Kenaikan Pangkat Luar Biasa Anumerta yang ditanda tangani oleh Bapak Kapolri jenderal polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“Selama prosesi pemakaman Jenazah Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo dapat berjalan dengan hikmat dan lancar,” Ucapnya.
“Pesan Kapolda Lampung Irjen Pol Akhmad Wiyagus kepada kedua orang tua dan keluarga Almarhum Briptu (anumerta) Gilang Aji Prasetyo harap bersabar dan ikhlas atas Kepergian Almarhum Selamat jalan Bhayangkara terbaik Ku engkau Pahlawan Pembela Negara dan semoga engkau ditempatkan yang terbaik di sisi Tuhan.” Tutupnya.
