Usai berhasil membawa kabur sepeda motor curian, Muhamad Ali (38) warga RT 015 RW 004 Desa Tanjung Aji Kecamatan Melinting Kabupaten Lampung Timur mengalami kecelakaan lalulintas dan meninggal dunia, Kamis (1/12/2022) sekira pukul 18.15 Wib.
Kapolsek Kalianda, Iptu Sugianto mewakili Kapolres Lampung Selatan (Lamsel) mengatakan, tersangka sebelumnya melakukan tindak pidana pencurian sepeda motor Hond CRF nopol A 5355 JC di Dusun IV Desa Kedaton Kecamatan Kalianda, Lamsel.
Dengan menggunakan kunci letter T, perbuatan tersangka diketahui anak korban (Dendi) Saat itu, Dendi melihat tersangka mendorong motor dan satu lagi menunggu dengan sepeda motor Honda Beat back street warna hitam.
Dendi berupaya mengejar tersangka yang hampir menabrak seorang Satpol PP. Setelah berteriak bahwa motor ayahnya dibawa pencuri, Satpol PP dan temannya langsung mengejar tersangka ke arah Bakauheni.
Saat melintas di jalan lintas Sumatera (Jalinsum) depan RM. Hidayah Kuring, tersangka menabrak mobil Toyota Agya warna kuring nopol BE 1168 YM.
“Tersangka mengambil jalur kanan dan terjadi kecelakaan lalulintas,” ujar Sugianto, Jumat (2/12/2022).
Melihat tersangka mengalami kecelakaan dan luka-luka, rekannya yang mengendari sepeda motor Honda Beat sempat menghampiri dan kabur meninggalkan lokasi.
“Jenazahnya dibawa ke RSUD Bob Bazar Kalianda untuk dilakukan tindakan medis lebih lanjut. Namun nyawanya tidak bisa diselamatkan,” imbuh Kapolsek.
Sugianto menambahkan, tindakan yang dilakukan selanjutnya yakni korban membuat laporan Polisi. Penanganan tersangka yang juga korban lakalantas ditangani Satlantas.
“Untuk mengejar satu lagi tersangka, Tekab 308 Presisi terus melakukan pencarian,” pungkasnya. (AP)
