Warga Dusun Sebalang Desa Tarahan Kecamatan Katibung Lampung Selatan melakukan Rapat Dengan Pendapat (RDP) bersama Komisi III DPRD kabupaten Lampung Selatan, Senin (6/11/2023).
Pelaksanaan RDP yang dipimpin langsung oleh ketua Komisi III DPRD kabupaten Lampung Selatan Rodiana dihadiri oleh Forkopimcam Kecamatan Katibung, Manajer PLTU Nusantara Power Sebalang Otniel Barung, LSM GMBI serta warga masyarakat setempat.
Perwakilan warga masyarakat Saprudin dalam keterangan menyatakan bahwa pihaknya bersama warga masyarakat lainnya mengajukan beberapa tuntutan atas polusi yang terjadi diwilayahnya.
Adapun kompensasi akibat polusi yang terjadi diwilayahnya diajukan kepada pihak PLTU Sebalang -Tarahan.
Perbaikan jalan akibat traking kendaraan PLTU yang mengangkut barang -barang keperluan pihak PLTU seperti Batubara dan sebagainya yang saat ini mengalami kerusakan yang cukup parah.
Untuk diketahui bahwa jalan tersebut adalah jalan swadaya masyarakat, oleh karena itu diharapkan kepada pihak pLTU agar segera melakukan perbaikan mengingat jalan tersebut merupakan akses satu satunya warga setempat.
Begitu juga dengan penerangan jalan yang hingga saat ini tidak ada perhatian dari pihak PLTU Tarahan sehingga sepanjang jalan cukup gelap dan hanya disinari oleh lampu dari rumah warga.
Kemudian tentang kesehatan warga masyarakat perlu diperhatikan, mengingat dampak dari PLTU cukup dirasakan oleh warga setempat.
Begitu juga dengan Fasilitas Umum (Fasum) agar diperhatikan, sehingga lingkungan warga setempat dapat melaksanakan aktivitasnya dengan baik,.khususnya air bersih.
Terakhir agar pihak PLTU Sebalang agar dapat mengakomodir tenaga kerja warga setempat, khususnya untuk tenaga non skill. Mengingat selama ini yang diterima hanya dari kalangan tertentu saja.
Manajer PLTU Nusantara Power Sebalang Otniel Barung mengatakan bahwa PLTU yang dikelolanya saat ini adalah BUMN atau perusahaan negara. Oleh karena itu segala permohonan yang disampaikan oleh warga dicatat dan akan disampaikan kepihak terkait untuk diketahui.
