Pemerintah desa Mekarsari dan desa Sumber Agung Kecamatan Way Sulan menggelar acara Sosialisasi Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB) di Aula kantor desa Mekarsari, guna meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian wajib pajak untuk membayar pajak tepat waktu. Selasa 14/3/2023.
Hadir dalam acara tersebut Camat way sulan Munir.SE, KUPTD pelayanan pajak kecamatan Merbau mataram Taufik Kurohman S.Pd.MM, kepala desa Mekarsari Miftahudin, kepala desa Sumber Agung Ismail, Aparatur desa Sumber Agung dan Mekarsari, tokoh agama, masyarakat.
Camat Way Sulan Munir S.E, dalam arahannya mengatakan upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam membayar pajak , khususnya Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB) tahun 2023, melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang hal hal yang berkaitan dengan Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB) sangatlah penting.
Di tempat yang sama, kepala desa Mekarsari Miftahudin mengatakan bahwa kesadaran masyarakat membayar pajak masih belum mencapai tingkat sebagaimana yang diharapkan. Umumnya masyarakat masih memiliki pandangan negatif dan kurang percaya terhadap keberadaan pajak karena dianggap memberatkan. Maka diperlukan upaya dan usaha untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya taat membayar pajak dan apa tujuan dari membayar pajak tersebut.
“Karena dengan pendapatan pajak tersebut nantinya akan digunakan untuk membiayai pembangunan yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dalam melakukan kegiatan masyarakat itu sendiri”.
Miftahudin berharap Dengan upaya dan usaha yang dilakukan semoga masyarakat sadar sepenuhnya untuk membayar pajak secara tepat waktu. karena ketika masyarakat memiliki kesadaran taat pajak, maka membayar pajak akan dilakukan secara sukarela dan bukan karena keterpaksaan. Tutupnya.
Taufik Kurohman S.Pd.MM selaku narasumber dari Kepala UPTD kecamatan Merbau Mataram menyampaikan bahwa Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB) tahun 2023 sudah didistribusikan oleh BPPKAD Kabupaten Lampung Selatan ke seluruh wilayah desa.
“Taufik berharap kepada seluruh masyarakat desa Mekarsari dan desa Sumber Agung dan desa yang ada di kecamatan Way Sulan kabupaten Lampung Selatan untuk taat pajak dan membayar pajak tepat pada waktunya, karena akan ada sanksi bagi masyarakat yang tidak mau membayar pajak dan berakibat merugikan masyarakat itu sendiri”.
Bagi masyarakat yang belum memahami ataupun adanya kekeliruan pada SPPT, diharapkan untuk segera melaporkan dan memberitahukan kepada pemerintah desa masing masing, untuk selanjutnya dilaporkan ke BPPKAD kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Tutupnya. (Pendi)
