Polsek Jati Agung Polres Lampung Selatan membubarkan arena balap liar dan mengamankan 4 orang pemuda berikut 3 motor yang sudah dimodifikasi, Minggu (2/4/2023).

Kapolsek Jati Agung, Iptu Mustolih menerangkan, polisi melakukan tindakan pembubaran balap liar saat melaksanakan patroli rutin saat shubuh dibulan Ramadhan. Minggu (2/4), sekitar jam 05.00 WIB.

“Di jalan lurus persawahan perbatasan antara Desa Rejomulyo, Kecamatan Jati Agung dengan Desa Suka Damai, Kecamatan Natar,” ujar Kapolsek mewakili Kapolres Lamsel AKBP Edwin, Minggu siang (2/4).

Mustolih melanjutkan, polisi mendapat informasi jika lokasi itu sering dijadikan tempat untuk nongkrong selepas sahur dan balapan liar yang menggangu masyarakat.

“Setelah kami cek, ternyata betul disitu ada ratusan kendaraan roda dua di kiri kanan jalan dan ada juga yang trek-trekan atau balapan liar,” imbuhnya.

Selanjutnya, polisi melakukan penindakan dengan mengamankan beberapa unit sepeda motor dan membubarkan kerumunan para pemuda.

“Ada tiga unit sepeda motor dan 4 anak muda yang kami amankan ke Mapolsek Jati Agung untuk dilakukan pembinaan,” tegasnya.

Mustolih menghimbau masyarakat terutama orang tua, agar membantu kepolisian memberi pengertian kepada anak-anaknya supaya tidak melakukan aksi balap liar, perang sarung dan geng motor.

“Ini sangat meresahkan dan membahayakan bagi anak-anak kita sendiri termasuk bagi pengguna jalan yang melintas pada saat itu. Mohon diinformasikan kembali kepada kita, apabila ada aksi trek-trekan lagi,” tandas Kapolsek. (*)
