Penanaman 2.100 bibit pohon dilakukan secara simbolis oleh Kapolres Lampung Selatan AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin di Batu Kapal, Desa Merak Belantung, Kecamatan Kalianda, Lampung Selatan.
Penanaman bibit pohon di Batu Kapal, Desa Merak Belantung, Kecamatan Kalianda, Lampung Selatan, berjumlah 1.000 pohon mangrove, lalu jajaran polsek-polsek yang ada di Polres Lampung Selatan ikut menamam sebanyak 1.100 pohon berbagai jenis.
Penanaman bibit pohon di Batu Kapal, Desa Merak Belantung, Kecamatan Kalianda, Lampung Selatan dihadiri oleh Forkopimda Lampung Selatan yakni Sekretaris Daerah Lampung Selatan Thamrin, perwakilan dari DPRD Lampung Selatan, perwakilan dari TNI Kodim 0421/Lampung Selatan dan perwakilan dari Kejari Lampung Selatan.

“Hari ini kegiatan kita penanaman pohon, acara dilaksanakan di Batu Kapal, Desa Merak Belantung. Ada sebanyak 1000 pohon mangrove yang kita tanaman di sana,” kata Kapolres Lampung Selatan AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin
Lebih lanjut Yusriandi menjelaskan penanaman pohon, tersebut dalam rangka Polri Peduli Penghijauan.
“Kegiatan ini serentak dilakukan di seluruh Indonesia dan dipimpin langsung oleh Bapak Kapolri dari NTT,” ujarnya.
“Jajaran polsek-polsek yang ada di Polres Lampung Selatan ikut menamam sebanyak 1.100 pohon berbagai jenis. Karena ini intruksi dari Bapak Kapolri dalam rangka Polri Peduli Penghijauan,” ujarnya.
Kepala Desa Merak Belantuk Joni Arizon menyambut baik acara penanaman bibit mangrove di desanya.
Lebih lanjut Joni mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Kapolres Lampung Selatan AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin beserta jajaran yang telah melakukan penanaman bibit mangrove di desanya.
